Basketball Recap: Traverse City HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Traverse City HomeSchool came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs by a score of 36-33 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row dating back to last season.

Coby Bilderback had a dynamite game for Grand Traverse Academy, going 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Bilderback a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Kinney, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Traverse City HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grand Traverse Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traverse City HomeSchool will venture away from home to challenge Boyne Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Traverse City HomeSchool is facing Boyne Falls at the right time seeing as Boyne Falls is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they will head out to face off against Walkerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
