Greenville has gone 9-1 against Pana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Comets will square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Greenville is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Greenville gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Litchfield 5-4. That's two games straight that the Comets have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Pana unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Vandalia by a score of 4-3.

Cash Lynch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Kezdyn Russell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Greenville pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pana, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Greenville took their win against Pana in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
