Softball Recap: St. Mary Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Mary had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Midland Park Panthers. Considering the Gaels have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Midland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, St. Mary will head out to face off against River Dell on Wednesday. As for Midland Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Teaneck at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
