Recap: Lakeside Knights vs. Timberline Spartans
The Lakeside Knights put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Timberline for the full four quarters, racking up a 96-28 victory at home. Lakeside's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Lakeside to victory were Brutis Sijohn and Tyson Charley . Sijohn dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists, while Charley scored 21 points along with eight assists and five steals. The match was Sijohn 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Hendrix, who scored 19 points.
Lakeside pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.4 points per game. As for Timberline, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Wellpinit at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wellpinit is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Timberline will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Highland at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
