Basketball Recap: Mesabi East Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mesabi East can now relate to. They were dealt a 64-32 defeat at the hands of the Pequot Lakes Patriots on Saturday. The Giants haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Mesabi East's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Pequot Lakes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Mesabi East nor Pequot Lakes have any future games scheduled.
