Granada Hills Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Felipe Achoyan, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Marc Cherfan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Granada Hills Charter struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Grant racked up 11 assists.
Grant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Omree Bentov led the charge by scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Bentov also posted two blocks for the first time this season. WILLIAM OVERTON was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Granada Hills Charter has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season. As for Grant, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Granada Hills Charter will head out on the road to square off against Cleveland at 4:49 p.m. on Wednesday. Cleveland will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Grant will take on Verdugo Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
