Basketball Recap: Burr & Burton Finds Playoff Glory Versus Brattleboro

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Burr & Burton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-45 win over the Brattleboro Bears. 60 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Despite the loss, Brattleboro still got an impressive performance from Jack Cady, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Korson, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 13 points.

The win (which was Burr & Burton's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Brattleboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Burr & Burton will square off against Rice Memorial on Friday. One thing working in Rice Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Brattleboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
