Garfield had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-6 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Newton Falls Tigers as they made off with a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the G-Men, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Newton Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Garfield: they've now lost five in a row.

For Newton Falls' part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Garro, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Garro has hit this season.

Garfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against Newton Falls: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
