Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Thunderbirds vs. Minneola Wildcats

The Skyline Thunderbirds will venture away from home to face off against the Minneola Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Bucklin, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Skyline saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adler Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Minneola got themselves on the board against Satanta on Tuesday, but Satanta never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Minneola's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Skyline came out on top in a nail-biter against Minneola when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
