Bayshore takes loss despite strong efforts from Dashawn Smith and William Strawbridge

Recap: Bayshore Bruins vs. Booker Tornadoes

The Bayshore Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Booker, falling 65-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bayshore has scored all season.

Bayshore's loss came despite strong showings from William Strawbridge and Dashawn Smith. Strawbridge scored 16 points, while Smith scored nine points. The contest was Strawbridge's tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Leading Booker to victory were Jovan Palavra and J.P Lattimore. Palavra scored 15 points, while Lattimore scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Lattimore scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Wright, who scored eight points.

Bayshore has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Booker, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.

Bayshore will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bradenton Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Booker will be home for the holidays to greet Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Venice is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
