Football Game Preview: Ferndale Wildcats vs. Eureka Loggers + How To Watch

The Ferndale Wildcats will take on the Eureka Loggers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ferndale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Eureka likes a good challenge.

Eureka's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Ferndale hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 49-0 win over Fortuna. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Prescott Langer went supernova, rushing for 231 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. Those 231 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Pidgeon, who rushed for 52 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ferndale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 380 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Eureka was just a hair shy of victory on Saturday and fell 21-20 to Novato. The Loggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ferndale's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Eureka, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
