Basketball Recap: Piedra Vista Comes Up Short

Piedra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cleveland Storm, falling 80-58. The Panthers lost against the Storm in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-15 score last time.

Piedra Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Cleveland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedra Vista will take on Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piedra Vista is facing Rio Rancho at the right time seeing as Rio Rancho is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cleveland, they will challenge Volcano Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Volcano Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Cleveland likes a good challenge.
