Basketball Recap: San Carlos Skates Past Lincoln Prep with Ease

San Carlos entered their tilt with Lincoln Prep on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 81-40 victory over the Lincoln Prep Lightning. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Carlos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leandro Simbolo, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 21 points and six steals. Simbolo's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leshawn Browning, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points along with six assists and six boards.

San Carlos was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

San Carlos has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Lincoln Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

San Carlos won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Phoenix Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in San Carlos' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. Lincoln Prep has already played their next contest (against Pima), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
