Softball Recap: Walton Braves vs. Bozeman Bucks

There's no place like home for Walton, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the Bozeman Bucks 6-5. For Walton, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 defeat Bozeman walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March.

Bailey Crowther was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gant, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

On Bozeman's side, Hayley Deegins was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. On the hitting side, Presley Kent made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Presley Thomason was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
