Basketball Game Preview: Ozona Lions vs. Sonora Broncos

The Ozona Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Sonora Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ozona challenged Christoval on Tuesday. Ozona had to suffer through a 82-43 loss at the hands of Christoval.

Meanwhile, Sonora ended up a good deal behind Forsan on Tuesday and lost 62-47. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Buffaloes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Ozona, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-3.

Ozona couldn't quite finish off Sonora in their previous meeting back in February and fell 59-56. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sonora's Juan J Castillo, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Now that Ozona knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
