Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mountain View Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Caleb Penaflorida. The Mustangs came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Design Tech Dragons for which the team can thank Penaflorida, who had 15 digs and three aces. He is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Mountain View Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 24-26, 25-23, 15-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Rincon, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Rincon has posted since back in March.

Mountain View Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Design Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Mountain View Academy has already played their next matchup (against The Kehillah School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Design Tech, they are taking a road trip to challenge KIPP Esperanza at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
