Woodrow Wilson waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Newport Harbor Sailors with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sailors, too.

Alexsa Barrera was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Barrera was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katherine Theriault, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Ruby Leyva, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Woodrow Wilson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
