Lakeland Preparatory came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the University Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lakeland Preparatory, who have now won eight games by five goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting University from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Eli Coleman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Lakeland Preparatory pushed their record up to 12-2-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for University, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Lakeland Preparatory will square off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
