Basketball Preview: Fivay Falcons vs. Anclote Sharks
Fivay has gone 8-2 against Anclote recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Fivay Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Anclote Sharks at 7:30 p.m. Fivay will be strutting in after a victory while Anclote will be coming in after a defeat.
Fivay is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Classical Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Fivay blew Classical Prep out of the water with a 60-19 final score. The team ran away with 48 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Fivay found their leader in sophomore Alenna Giron, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and five steals. Giron is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Nero, who posted no points in addition to nine rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-14, which was the final score in Anclote's tilt against River Ridge on Tuesday. The contest marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Anclote's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fivay, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
