Basketball Recap: Dinwiddie Comes Up Short

Dinwiddie lost against Powhatan back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dinwiddie Generals were dealt a 63-29 loss at the hands of the Powhatan Indians. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dinwiddie's loss came despite strong showings from Madisyn Hurtt and Carolina Berry. Hurtt posted ten points, while Berry scored ten points.

Dinwiddie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Powhatan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Dinwiddie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-47 win against Prince George on the 4th. As for Powhatan, they will face off against Huguenot at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Powhatan is facing Huguenot at the right time seeing as Huguenot is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
