Union Springs strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Newfield Trojans by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 back in April.

Anthony DeAngelis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. DeAngelis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

DeAngelis wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Johnson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Union Springs' victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. As for Newfield, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Union Springs will square off against Tioga at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Newfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
