Basketball Recap: Gurdon Takes a Loss

Gurdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were beaten by the Junction City Dragons 60-32. While losing is never fun, the Go-Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Dragons are ranked 114th).

Gurdon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Junction City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Gurdon will face off against Ouachita at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Junction City, they will challenge Poyen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Poyen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
