Basketball Recap: Sulphur Comes Up Short

Sulphur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 38-31 to the Byng Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-36 back in December of 2024.

Sulphur's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Byng, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Sulphur will challenge Pauls Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byng, they will face off against Tecumseh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Byng is facing Tecumseh at the right time seeing as Tecumseh is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
