The Southeast of Saline Trojans will head out to face off against the Beloit Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast of Saline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Southeast of Saline came up short against Sacred Heart and fell 54-43. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Knights are ranked 20th).

Despite the loss, Southeast of Saline got top-tier performance from Gannon Jacobson, who posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Jacobson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Owen Bailey was another key player, putting up six points.
Meanwhile, Beloit humbled Phillipsburg with a 68-37 victory. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.
Southeast of Saline better focus on containing Eli Johnson and Jackson Cheney as the pair were huge in Beloit's win. Johnson went 11 of 12 to rack up 24 points and seven rebounds, while Cheney went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Colton Adolph also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Beloit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
Beloit pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Southeast of Saline, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southeast of Saline has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Beloit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Southeast of Saline came up short against Beloit in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 81-68. Can Southeast of Saline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
