Softball Recap: Tulia Hornets vs. Bushland Falcons
Tulia had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 12-5 to make it four. They lost 17-2 to the Bushland Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 19-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Tulia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Bushland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games.
On Bushland's side, Charlie Willis made a big impact no matter where she played. Coming up, Tulia will welcome Childress at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
