Baseball Game Preview: Franklinton Red Rams vs. Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets

Franklinton is 1-9 against Roanoke Rapids since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Franklinton will head out to square off against Roanoke Rapids at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Franklinton is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nash Central.

Franklinton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Brink, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Roanoke Rapids' offense. They lost 9-0 to Bunn on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Franklinton suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-6. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Franklinton might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Roanoke Rapids in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Franklinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
