Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-32 loss at the hands of the Pine Bluffs Hornets. If the Bison were looking for revenge after losing 55-42 to the Hornets when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Fernandez, who posted 14 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Tremel Ray, who had seven points.

South's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pine Bluffs, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, South won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southeast at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pine Bluffs, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Mitchell at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
