The Coronado Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against The Meadows School Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Coronado's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Clark. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.
Gavin Rogers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Coronado is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-14 otherwise. Rogers was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Ryder Metz looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Hudson Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Cocon, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Coronado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clark only posted a batting average of .250.
The Meadows School not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th. Everything went their way against Chaparral as they made off with a 12-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their one-run performance the game before.
Ethan Schneiderman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Hudson Falb was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Rinetti, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Coronado's record now sits at 7-15. As for The Meadows School, their record is now 10-8.
