Basketball Recap: Fayetteville Academy Takes a Loss

Fayetteville Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 44-19 to the Halifax Academy Vikings. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Hayden Barlow was nothing short of spectacular for Halifax Academy: she went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Barlow has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolina Corum, who posted seven points and seven boards.

Fayetteville Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Halifax Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Fayetteville Academy will challenge Halifax Academy at 5:15 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Halifax Academy, they will take on Harrells Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
