Volleyball Recap: Gallatin Falls Despite Big Games from Chloe Wix and Skylar Wilson

After a string of four wins, Gallatin's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Page Patriots by a score of 2-1. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Gallatin had strong showings from Skylar Wilson, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Chloe Wix, who had ten assists and two aces. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Page can attribute much of their success to Hannah Rider, who had 15 digs and one assist. Addison Gipson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Gallatin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Page, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Gallatin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Springfield on the 19th. As for Page, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Pope John Paul II on the 19th.
