Baseball Recap: ARC Academy Takes a Loss

ARC Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Freedom Life Academy Patriots.

Jansen Howard put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Howard was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

In other batting news, Dawson Robinson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

ARC Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, ARC Academy and Freedom Life Academy will both be playing Midstate Homeschool the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Storm at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
