Baseball Recap: Purchase Line Red Dragons vs. Marion Center Stingers
Purchase Line's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Marion Center Stingers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-7 two weeks ago.

Christian Moyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Purchase Line's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 3-11 when he doesn't). Moyer was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Purchase Line let Tyler Houser and Wyatt Sheredy run wild. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Marion Center, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
As of now, neither Purchase Line nor the Stingers have any future games scheduled.
