Soccer Recap: Hunter Comes Up Short

Hunter managed to keep up with Granger until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wolverines lost 4-1 to the Lancers. Hunter were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granger apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hunter's goal came courtesy of Brandon Gonzalez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Hunter's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Granger, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hunter has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ridgeline on the 31st. As for Granger, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Kearns on the 2nd.
