Mt. Vernon extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Aubry Dowling. The Marauders came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hamilton Heights Huskies thanks in part to Dowling, who had 13 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hamilton Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Mt. Vernon will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Logansport at 10:00 a.m. As for Hamilton Heights, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Western Boone at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
