Basketball Recap: Westside Beats Franklin County for Their Seventh Straight Win

Westside extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Kmajay Jenkins. The Westside Rams enjoyed a cozy 79-65 win over the Franklin County Lions on Saturday thanks in part to Jenkins, who went 12 for 20 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven blocks. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tiy Hollings, who posted 11 points along with six assists and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January.

Westside pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Franklin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will host Belton-Honea Path at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County is facing Pendleton at the right time seeing as Pendleton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
