            Softball Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Cherry Hill West Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Winslow Township is 1-9 against Cherry Hill West since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Eagles will take on the Lions at 3:45  p.m.
Winslow Township lost  27-17 to Bridgeton on Wednesday.
  Kassidy Conyer stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Emily Ensign, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Cherry Hill West, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   5-0  victory over Shawnee  on Tuesday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
The result came thanks to  Juliette Panto's shutout, as she gave up just a  hit and racked up nine Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Olivia Croge was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in May of 2024.  Lila Gray also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hits of the season.
 Winslow Township's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cherry Hill West, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-3.
 Winslow Township might still be hurting after the  19-4 defeat they got from Cherry Hill West  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
