Ascension Catholic had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They strolled past the Riverside Academy Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Rebels are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ascension Catholic pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Riverside Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.
