Softball Recap: Eaton Eagles vs. Valley View Spartans
While Eaton put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Valley View. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 11-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Eaton got a massive performance out of Julie Schrimper, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and seven RBI. Those three hits gave Schrimper a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Cook, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Eaton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Eaton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Valley View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eaton will take on Brookville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley View, they will challenge Archbishop Alter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
