Soccer Game Preview: North Garland vs. Lakeview Centennial

North Garland is 2-8 against Lakeview Centennial since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The North Garland Raiders will be playing at home against the Lakeview Centennial Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

North Garland fell victim to Wylie and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Pirates are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Lakeview Centennial also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Wylie East on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

North Garland now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for Lakeview Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
