Western Indiana - Green Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Kramer Posts Huge Game in 55-6 Victory

Starting off the list is North Putnam's Christian Kramer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Kramer rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Brown County had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Kramer it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kramer saw the Eagles), he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

Tayt Jackson posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.

West Vigo's probably not too fond of Jackson given he always seems to get the better of them. Jackson rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in October of 2023.

Ty Benton Delivers Best Effort of Season

Ty Benton produced his most outstanding game to date while leading South Putnam to the win on Friday. Benton wasn't messing around, rushing for 103 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. The matchup was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

South Putnam's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Benton's next contest is against Cloverdale on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
