Soccer Recap: Garland Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

It was a Battle of the Birds when Garland duked it out with Rowlett on Tuesday. The Garland Owls never let the Rowlett Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Owls' winning goal came courtesy of Melvin Melgar.

Garland's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Rowlett, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.

Coincidentally, Garland and Rowlett will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the pitch. Rowlett will head out to face Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Garland will host them at 7:30 p.m. on March 4th.
