Soccer Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was the 2-0 winner over Miller Grove when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Salem Seminoles fell just short of the Miller Grove Wolverines by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Devonie Gallimore wasn't going to let Miller Grove walk away unscathed as she scored both of Salem's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Salem's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Miller Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Salem didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 victory against South Atlanta on the 18th. As for Miller Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 win against Lithonia on the 17th.
