Football Game Preview: Fremont Firebirds vs. Homestead Mustangs + How To Watch

The Fremont Firebirds will square off against the Homestead Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fremont took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Santa Clara with points to spare, taking the game 25-6. The Firebirds' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, while Homestead put up some points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Saratoga. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Falcons. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Fremont's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Homestead, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Fremont strolled past Homestead when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 28-14. Do the Firebirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
