Basketball Recap: San Gorgonio Takes a Loss

San Gorgonio lost against Citrus Hill back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Gorgonio Spartans took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Citrus Hill Hawks.

Citrus Hill found their leader in sophomore Jerren White, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 17 boards, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kason Steward, who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

San Gorgonio has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Citrus Hill, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

San Gorgonio will host Rim of the World at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. San Gorgonio is facing Rim of the World at the right time seeing as Rim of the World is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Citrus Hill will take on Patriot in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Citrus Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season.
