Hug scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 33-24 to the Truckee Wolverines. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost six in a row.

Kaitlyn De La Torre Jackson was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, three stolen bases, and eight RBI while going 5-for-6. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Sacauskas, who scored two runs and stole six bases while going 4-for-5.

Hug's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Truckee, they moved to 2-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Hug had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
