Central got themselves on the board against Anson on Thursday, but Anson never followed suit. They skirted past the Bearcats 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 24, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Cody Branham, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Tomberlin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Central has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs this season. As for Anson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
