Mt. Vernon kept a clean sheet against West Delaware on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 5-0 victory. Considering Mt. Vernon have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mt. Vernon pushed their record up to 9-2-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six matchups. As for West Delaware, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will host East Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Delaware, they will face off against Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
