Baseball Recap: Hale Takes a Loss

Hale extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 24-0 to the Hillman Tigers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 35-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Hillman, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Hillman's part, they got a massive performance out of Evan Crane, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Crane a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cuyler Schultz, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hillman beat Hale by a score of 15-4 later that day.
