Softball Recap: Angola Comes Up Short

Angola managed to slip by Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Saints on Saturday, falling 12-6. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Angola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Angola will host Eastside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Heritage at 5:30 p.m. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
