Destin never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pensacola Catholic on Friday. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp  15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won nine matchups by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
The team  relied heavily on  Anita Palmer, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Keelie Ellis was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Destin was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Destin is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Pensacola Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Coming up, Destin will welcome Booker T. Washington  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Pensacola Catholic, they will head out to  face off against Pine Forest  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.1  runs per game this season.
